The Realm Makers Bookstore specializes in fantastic fiction for readers of all ages written exclusively by Christian authors. It is an outgrowth of the annual Realm Makers writers conference which focuses exclusively on the genres of fantasy, science fiction and the many related genres of speculative fiction. The online bookstore is expanding to contain a broader range of genres in order to be a more useful resource for Christians looking for excellent fiction and select non-fiction titles written by other Christians. Here are a few criteria that we use when deciding which books to include in our online bookstore.
- Authors who have been on faculty at the Realm Makers writers conference.
- Titles which have won a Realm Award.
- Recommendations by Christian publishers that we have a relationship with and trust.
- Independently published titles that we have personally curated simply because we know how awesome they are!
- Bibles, devotionals, and non-fiction that help to round out our catalog for upcoming Christian School Book Fairs.
It is important to understand that some of our titles don't necessarily qualify as "Christian fiction" per se, but rather represent excellent fiction by Christian authors which bear the mark of their Christian worldview even if it's about elves, superheroes, or Amish Vampires in Space.
Because so many of the authors you will find here join us at our annual conference we know them personally, and if you're lucky you may even find that the book you buy has been signed by the author!
This bookstore is a very new endeavor, started in late 2017, and we are growing quickly. If there is any delay in your order it is likely due to the fact that we are attending one of twenty different weekend events as a book vendor during the year. If you value the concept of "buying local" we appreciate your understanding that we may not respond as quickly as a major book retailer.
